Terms & Conditions

Last updated 25 October 2026

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms cover every booking with Manchester & Cheshire Cherry Pickers for operated cherry picker hire, roof cleaning and gutter cleaning, whether you book by phone, by email or through this website.

2. Operated hire only

We never offer self-drive hire. One of our IPAF-trained operators controls the machine at all times. The operator can pause, reschedule or refuse any part of the work they believe is unsafe.

3. Quotes, bookings and payment

• Quotes and online estimates are based on the information you give us. If the site or the job turns out to be different, the price may change.
• Once a fixed price is agreed we send a proforma invoice. Your booking is only confirmed when that invoice has been paid in full in cleared funds. We don't hold dates for unpaid bookings.
• Our advertised rates include up to 10 miles of travel from our head office in Manchester. Further travel is quoted separately and included in your fixed price.

Booking online

When you book through our website you'll be shown the key points of these terms and asked to accept them before your booking request can be sent. The date and time you accept, and the version of the terms you accepted, are recorded with your booking. Sending a booking request doesn't confirm a date: your booking is confirmed once the proforma invoice is paid.

4. Site access, permits and delays

• You must give us safe, clear access to the site at the agreed time, along with any permissions needed, such as a council permit to set up on a public road or pavement.
• If the work can't go ahead because of something on your side, such as no access, missing permits or a similar issue, the full booked hire rate is still due.
• Waiting time caused by access problems is taken from your paid hire time and isn't refunded.
• Please tell us in advance about hazards such as overhead cables, low branches, soft ground or restricted space.

5. Cancellations and changes

If you cancel or change a booking with less than 48 hours' notice, or the job can't go ahead because of a site issue you didn't tell us about, the payment may not be refunded in full.

6. Weather

Our operator may postpone or stop work for safety reasons, including high winds, storms, ice or lightning. A weather postponement is not treated as a cancellation by you, and we'll rearrange the job with you.

7. Insurance, liability and damage

• We hold public liability insurance.
• Please point out anything fragile near the work area before we start.
• We are not responsible for damage that already existed, for normal wear and tear, or for underground services you didn't tell us about.
• We are not responsible for roofs, gutters, render or paintwork that were already damaged or poorly fitted.

8. Your responsibilities on the day

Keep the work area clear of vehicles, obstructions and people not involved in the job. Keep children and pets away from the work area and the vehicle.

Jetting bowser hire

• The jetting bowser is hired at £100 a day or £325 a week, plus delivery. Delivery is priced on your site postcode and confirmed before you book. Longer hires are charged at the weekly rate for each full week.
• Your booking is confirmed once the proforma invoice has been paid in full.
• While the bowser is on hire you're responsible for keeping it secure, using it safely and only for its intended purpose, and returning it in the same condition, apart from normal wear and tear. You're responsible for loss of or damage to the bowser during the hire period.
• Please make sure we have safe access to deliver and collect the bowser at the agreed times.

9. Trade accounts and offers

Trade accounts are for trade customers only: businesses, contractors and tradespeople. We may ask for details to confirm this and can decline an application. The 25% first hire discount is for trade account holders, applies once per business to the first booking made after the account is opened, and can't be combined with any other offer.

10. Complaints

If you're unhappy with any part of our work, contact us as soon as possible and we'll put it right where we can.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will appear on this page with a new date. The terms in force when you book apply to that booking.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
