How often should gutters be cleaned?
Twice a year suits most homes: once in late spring and again in autumn after the leaves drop. Properties surrounded by trees may need checking more often.
Why use a cherry picker instead of ladders?
Ladders are risky on soft ground and at height, and they rest against the gutter you're trying to clear. From the platform we can work steadily along the full run and see exactly what's in there.
Can you reach three and four storey buildings?
Yes. With 21m of working height we can reach gutters on most townhouses, apartment blocks and commercial buildings that ladders and standard vacuum poles can't.
Do you check the downpipes?
Yes. Once the gutter is clear we flush it through and check the water runs freely down the downpipes. If there's a blockage or a leaking joint we'll show you.
