How booking works
Once we've agreed a fixed price, we send a proforma invoice. Your date is confirmed when it's paid, so nothing is held before then.
If the work can't go ahead because of something on the customer's side, such as no access to the site or missing permits, the booked hire rate is still due. Full details are in our terms.

No. We're operated hire only. Every job is carried out by one of our own IPAF-trained operators, so you get a safe, insured lift without needing a certified operator of your own.
How do I book, and when do I pay?
Tell us about the job and we'll give you a fixed price. We then send a proforma invoice, and your booking is confirmed once it's paid. If the work can't go ahead because of something on your side, such as no access or missing permits, the booked hire rate is still due.
What's included in the price?
The 21m platform, an IPAF-trained operator, fuel and up to 10 miles of travel from our head office in Manchester. If your site is further away we include the extra travel in your fixed price, so you know the full cost up front.
What's the maximum height you can reach?
Our CTE Zed 21 truck-mounted platform gives 21 metres of working height and 10 metres of outreach. That's roughly six to seven storeys, and the outreach gets over walls, conservatories and parked cars.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. Every job is covered by our public liability insurance, and our operators hold current IPAF certification.
How much notice do you need?
We can often fit in short-notice hires, so get in touch even if you need us this week. Booking a little ahead gives you the best choice of dates.
Where are you based?
Our head office (HQ) is in Manchester, and we cover the whole North West from there: Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire, plus Leeds, Sheffield and Stoke-on-Trent.
Do I need a permit?
If the platform needs to stand on a public road or pavement, the local council may need to grant a permit. We'll tell you if we think one is needed when we price the job. Arranging permissions is the customer's responsibility unless we've agreed otherwise.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If high winds, storms, ice or lightning make it unsafe to work at height, our operator will postpone and we'll rearrange the job with you. A weather postponement isn't treated as a cancellation.
